i built this wall shelf for a friend. she loved it and a few days later called and asked if she brought me a piece of mirror if icould make a frame for it out of similar wood i said ok . so she brings me a mirror she had cut 36×36
well the shelf is 34 …. lol i made the frame and took the mirror back to the glass shop and had it recut and polished and heres the finished product . well almost finished the mirror should have been cleaned before i took the pic . lol

Kind of a 40’s retro look but with an upgraded blond finish. That is some nice wood. Good design work.

thanks everyone mike i dont use a french cleat i cut a piece of deadwood that fits between the top and the bottom and mount it to the wall first slide the shelf onto it and attach the shelf to it a cleat would work if the wall was nice and flat though .
