Peanut acorn bowls

Recently, I was in some tavern and besides beer, they served peanut in some plastic bowls. Immediately the idea crossed my mind that wooden bowl wood be more suitable to tavern rustic ambience. I glued pieces of walnut and oak to get acorn contrast, although beech with walnut wood be better choice and contrast, for next time.
Technic used is ’’router bowl’’, finish food friendly wood oil, dimensions 130×105x35 mm, depth 27mm, sides and bottom thickness 8mm. On last photo I made some with beech and walnut to express contrast more.

Sorry for my twisted sense of humor, but isn’t that a little bit like feeding boiled eggs to chickens?! Seriously, they’re beautiful! Well done.

That’s pretty clever! I like how the contrast turned out. Definitely has that tavern feel.

Great idea and they turned out superb!!! Making the cap portion a different wood really catches the eye.

Nice move Ivan; you always come up with some great ideas! They look so good I just hope they don’t disappear from the tavern.

These are great! I bet the tavern would love to buy a bunch of them from you and I’d have to agree with Tony (they’d probably disappear from that tavern!). Great idea, great thinking and creativity!

Very clever. It makes the peanuts look so much more inviting. Maybe get a free drink too.

They would be crazy not to want these on their bar and tables. Give one as a sample/gift to get them talking! :)
