So, like a lot of you guys I decided to quit banging up my chisel handles with regular hammers and decided to remedy the situation with making my own ballots out of scrap wood.

Hand made tools are always fun to build and even better, great to use!

This is a nice couple of shop made mallets and so nicely done. They are a valuable addition to your shop.

I have promised myself that I will do more lathe work so that I can get different sizes for different carving jobs. I may incorporate some rubber discs on the ends of the bigger mallet. I appreciate the input.
