My daughter is an art major and exposed to a lot more than mainline woodworking. So when she wanted me to build her a sewing table I said sure. But when she wanted to stain it blue something that I was not a custom to I wasn’t to sure.
But with the help of Charles Neil Blotch Control I gave it a go. Acually I like it now.

I like the blue. I have a project in mind that I may want to try this with.

Great desk, by the way!

Blue? I can go with blue… nice… some folk may have chuckled when I did a shaker table in yellow... Why not put a little color in our woodworking? Nice sewing table, too.

I went thru the same thing when I built an entertainment center for my step daughter. It is in my projects if you care to look. Good looking sewing cabinet. Very nicely done. Thanks for posting.

God Bless

When I read blue, I thought ewww. lol After viewing the project though I see it really works and looks great. I like the style of the table too. How did you line up and attach the drawer faces? I’m making 2 face frame 3 drawer cabinet for craft supplies. I want to have 1/4 or 1/2” spacing around each drawer face.
TIA,
Vicki

Thanks everyone.

Vicki- I used a spacer !/8” and double stick tape to set the alignment and all It was probably the one thing that took me a while to figure out and get it right.
