June was a good month in the bowl mine

June kept me pretty busy designing bowls and occassionally I end up with a couple that Linda hides somewhere because she doesn’t want me to sell them.
Actually, that happens every time I bring a new batch of bowls in from the shop, then her last favorites then become superceded.
Anyway, I managed to get 23 bowls done last month and here are what I fell are the cream of the crop. Of course that is only my opinion, it’s your opinion that counts so lay it on me, good, bad or ugly – I can take it.

Thanks for looking

This one is yellow heart, walnut, butternut with bloodwood dividers

and this one just hurts my eyes but I can’t stop looking at it. It’s wormy chestnut, maple, aromatic cedar, walnut and just about as symetrical as I can accidently get it

Interesting technical stuff!

You are lucky that your bowl mine is so richly loaded – I remember in the Goons show years ago they had a problem in their sock mine when the seams ran out !

Nice, very nice indeed. I like the one that has the spokes radiating out from the center, very unique.

Thanks Jim, I didn’t do a head (bowl) count but I have 2 large totes full, I’d guess about 60 or so.

Dick, the butternut are particularly captivating. Great job of figure matching. Your work never ceases to amaze ! Keep going friend.

Superb, great great crafting as usual.
I just love how you incorporate all the different wood species into one piece.
Great work Dick, it reminds me I must come and visit.
