I made this vessel for my wife’s Birthday. It’s 12” tall and 7” wide. The vessel is made out of mahogany; maple, Osage orange and Honduran rosewood. We were on vacation a few years ago on the Oregon coast and stopped in the little town of Bandon. While we were walking through an old used book store I noticed that they had some Oregon myrtle wood upstairs. Along with the myrtle I found some rosewood that had come out of an old picture frame, easel or some kind of piece of furniture. I ended up buying all that they had which was four pieces, each one about 30” X 2” X 1 1/4”. At the time I didn’t realize how pretty this wood would turn out after finishing.

The project is finished with 4 coats of Watco Danish Oil and then buffed with the Beal Buffing System.
