I am finally getting around to posting the pictures from the my project and blog “This Old Crack House”.
This kitchen was the original kitchen that was gutted out and remodeled and now Serving as the BBQ and Second Kitchen, In my Home “This Old Crack House”.
This kitchen opens up to a complete deck and patio area in the back yard.
The complete story about the project is written in this blog.

Great kitchen. One to keep clean and the other to use. Company always wonder how you put on those fancy dinners and the kitchen is never dirty.
Great job.

The recessed cabinet in the far side of the kitchen caught my eye. Excellent work. when is the next BBQ?

karson,
When I converted this kitchen to a BBQ kitchen and over flow pantry kitchen if you will , several of my freinds questioned my wisdom and sanity of doing this.
The sanity I can understand.
That said after I blew a hole in the wall ,removed the window and built a deck you could walk through and out on to turned out to be one of the most practical and used rooms in my home.
Not only for the convenience of having a separate full kitchen to entertain – especial in the summer- with out having to travel a long distantance through the main house and formal dining room.
Having the hot tub and fire pit located next to the deck, located right outside this kitchen, it makes it very handy to entertain. That also helps keep me organized and easy to maintain. I can spend more time with guests in close proximity rather than being separated so far from them.
Remember cooking and entertaining is a passion and hobby of mine.

Bradford,
Thanks,
The recessed cabinet your referring to was a former ironing board holder that was converted to a recessed cabinet for spices.
Well it will be a while before the next BBQ. Today it is zero with a below wind chill here in Minneapolis Minnesota.
Hence, if you noticed, the indoor Jenn-Air stove .
Works great in Minnesota.

i could never understand the 2 kitchen concept .. but when you put your second one at the deck .. oh yes.. totally envious!!
I have to walk everything through the house.

Debbie,
I real did angonize over what to do with the old kitchen.
As you know from following the blog seris that room was a disaster. With only 6 foot of total counter space and the dysfunctional nature not to mention all the plumbing problems, it was a mess.
I really mean it when I say I am very happy with what I ended up with and never have looked back.
Now that it is done and I can look back I wonder what all the fuss was.
Its seems not only natural now but logical.
