Project Information

This shadowbox was for a Lance Corporal that lost his arms in Vietnam. Unfortunatly his career in the military was cut short. When I get the insides for it and fill this display, I'll add more pictures. This case is built out of solid Oak, it proudly displays a 3'x5' US flag. Thanks for looking. Enjoy! If you have any questions about this design or any of my displays, please feel free to e-mail me!

Great job for a just and worthy cause. I'm sure he'll more than appreciate what you've done for him. Those men are dieing off at a fast rate every day now in their 70's and 80's. Good for you.

I really like the design - so much better than the usual flag boxes.

My question is….and I am not trying to be critical.
Are you sure it was WWII? The rank of Lance Corporal wasn't formerly introduced until 1958.
Here is a link:

Anyway…it is an outstanding piece of work. How big is it? How long did it take?

I'll double check the facts, thanks. I glanced over his DD214 but not real in depth.

Gem of a piece of woodworking AAW. Really like the detail of the grain following the shape. Makes the piece. Outstanding and thanks for the post!
