Cherry, oak and poplar wood. Elephant cutout for decoration. A gift for a friend who loves elephants and has an Asian decor. I thought the Chinese symbol for elephant was a helpful touch. I hope the character really does mean elephant, if not it looks good from my house.

Crooks, I like this box. It is a nice, straightforward design. The box corners look clean and tight. The chamfered edges really add to the look and keep it from looking clunky. Good call there. It would have been nice to see the inside of the box. The minimalist elephant carving moves the box up a notch as well. What did you carve the elephant with…CNC? Thanks for sharing this with us.

Elegant Elephant Box.. I love the inlay and the box top, those are beautiful design ideas. I like the lines of the box too, this give it a very clean look. You sure have a talent for working with your hands. Thanks for inspiring
