So this was more of a concept I wanted to try out on the lathe. I am very new to the lathe and just trying new things to see how it works and what happens.

So this came out a bit better than I expected. Looked really neat and was not as hard as I thought it would be. It is unfinished though and that is due to not having the pieces on the lathe to hold the piece while I hollow out the cup (do not have a faceplate or a chuck with jaws). So if I eventually can get those parts I may put it back on to finish it up.

Always looking for advice or feedback to help learn.

Looks great! It has a real “rising from the wood” kind of feel to it. Thanks for sharing!
