Project Information

Greetings all. A friends family member (dog) passed away two weeks ago and asked me to make a final resting place for Snowball. I was honored that they asked me and created this for them. I'm open to constructive criticism to better hone my skills. Made from mahogany and curly maple, 5" x 8" x 3.5" and finished with Tried and True varnish oil. Thanks for looking.

All, thank you for the comments, much appreciated. I felt relieved, grateful and thankful upon completion. My friends were very happy with it with made me relieved… For me, doing a blind project for someone always has a bit of risk so I was pleased with their words.

I love the lines on this piece. Did you follow a plan or design it yourself?

Steve, I wish I could say this is all me but its not. I took inspiration from the Wood Whisperer and added my own flair to it.

Great job. I really like the look of this. Strange question, though. What is it exactly that people put in pet urns? Just mementos?

Scott, in this case my friends had Snowball cremated and will place the remains and other moments in the box.
