This is a maple burl shelf with Honduran Mahogany back board. It is about 11” wide and 20” long. The other maple is just a scrap that I sanded for a table pot holder.

Good to see that you are having fun with your wood. Is the shelf for your house? Quite a nice ‘pot holder’ for the table.

I am hoping to sell it. I am artist of the month at my athletic club so all my stuff is on display.

That is a cool looking shelf I love the pattern in this one.
Tell me, how do you cut them thinly?
I have have a piece that has been sawn off (using a chainsaw ) the burl bowl I made recently but it is too high to fit under the bandsaw and I dont have a table saw. Do I have to use elbow grease and use a handsaw?
