Summertime means barbecuing and spending time outdoors with friends and family. I made super easy DIY Yardzee lawn dice. It’s like Yahtzee, but with giant wood dice that you can play in the backyard or at the beach.

I used a 4×4 cedar post and a Forstner bit, following a dice template I made. I filled the holes with black paint, rounded the edges with a sander and sprayed on some poly.

Free dice template and printable Yardzee scorecards are available on my website: http://www.diymontreal.com/diy-yardzee-yard-dice/

You can watch the 2 minute video of how I made them here: https://youtu.be/hDRRqqyqcm0

Looks like fun, do you have the calculations so that they can be balance as per Vegas rules? Was thinking perhaps just adjust the drill depth for each set of numbers? :)

Haha will try that next time ;) Would have to play on a golf green to rule out the grass blades interfering
