Koa Wood Weave Mirror

I wanted to give the illusion that the wood was weaving behind the mirror. The Koa diamonds took forever to rout and sand. Still learning. I finished the koa with lacquer. It is about 6’ long.

I really like this! An excellent way to extend the Koa into a large piece.

Greg,

Did you find the mirror precut, or is that something of your own design?

If it is, I would be interested to learn how you cut it with such amazing results. Any method for cutting “non straight” lines in a mirror has turned out very poorly (chipped glass and such).
