I started this project a couple of years ago and have since went back to college so it has been slow going but I am finally taking a summer off so I got it finished up just in time to launch on father’s day.

Hull is Douglas Fir with African mahogany gunwales, seats and thwart decks with wenge trim, a little cedar and ash in the stems, and maple seat hangers.

Used the Hiawatha plan from Ted Moore’s Canoe Craft book.

Looks a little out of place with that background in the picture…. but oh my, there is nothing much prettier than a strip built boat! Piece of art! Congratulation.. yes sir you have every right to be very proud!

That should be framed and hung on a wall where art belongs.
