This segmented turning is made with cherry and is approximately 8 1/2”x 10 1/2”wide. The pattern is burned using a skew and a 1/16” ball tip. This is the most time consuming pattern I have done but it was well worth it. I sprayed several coats of Krylon UV resistant acrylic which has a matte finish. Then I applied a little paste wax using 400 grit sandpaper to give it some luster.

I like the stippling and do know how difficult that is to do!

Wow!!! That is quite a piece. I can’t imagine how long it takes to do all of the pattern work.
