Here is a trestle style dining room table with breadboard ends. I had to modify the plans on this a little to account for wood movement. First there is the breadboards, I did these with a Domino. The outer mortises on the breadboard side are cut a little looser to allow for movement across the grain of the wood. I also added two additional skirts under the table and cut a dado 5/8’’ from the top of the skirt all the way across to allow for some z clips to be installed. The majority of the wood is reclaimed from pallets. The tabletop itself is Redwood. For finishing I used “Carrington” from Varathane and “Jacobean” from Minwax then added 3 coats of poly.

You have done a fine job on this farm Trestle table. It has a lot of nice details and craftsmanship.

Kinda looks like a cute dog to me, ohh I see there is a table there, pretty nice.

Seldom do you see a shot of the Tenon ends for a breadboard, or especially the method of top attachment, both are welcome shots, and thanks for them

Thanks for posting.

Cute hound – love the finish on the table too – looking at it I’d have thought you’d used a blowtorch – very impressed :o)
