My daughter wanted to help me build a Farmhouse Trestle dining table with Breadboard ends for their new house. It was a fun project passing along woodworking skills to the next generation and a joy to work with her. My prayer is that there will be a treasure trove of happy moments for many generations around this table for them. We finished it with Ipswich Pine stain and semigloss polyurethane. I used poplar dowels for the breadboard pins.

Great looking table, Great experiences AND bonus points for making it flat-pack. Well done.

Nice work, and the memories have already begun as you two worked on it together.

Thanks. I had to figure out a way to transport it to her home two hours south of here in my VW. Necessity in the mother of invention!

Thanks Brian. I had a blast using Fusion 360 to design it as it went through several iterations before I was happy with it. Better to burn electrons than sawdust.

Thanks. I don’t take it for granted to be blessed with two wonderful children and their fantastic spouses. What a great kick off for Fathers Day weekend!

Very nice joinery techniques. I don’t see bread tables like that with those fancy joints often.

Thanks Axkman. I enjoy the challenges of woodworking and also appreciate the additional structural stability such joints add to the project.
