Made a quick cutting board as a gift. I have two large projects ongoing. It was nice to break up the pace for an afternoon and finish something!

Maple and walnut? Looks great. Like design. How did you attach the handles or are they a continuation of the cutting board?

Maple and Walnut is correct.

I first made a maple blank. Before ripping into equal thirds I marked a center line for refernce. The two walnut pieces were roughed out in shape and laminated onto the center section. The two handles were installed at this time to help keep them aligned. The remaining maple sections were then glued on. Final shape was made with a round rasp.

I really like those handles. I would never have thought of that. You are very creative besides being such a great craftsman. Thanks for inspiring
