Finally finished the table and got some pictures. It was a great learning experience and I am rather proud of the result. Now I need to find a place for it since I don’t really “need” another table. LOL

My project at school this round is a three legged table and this is the spindle stand. I got to play on the lathe for the first time and was pretty happy with the result.

I really liked working on the lathe. It is very relaxing in some way and I hope to do more of this.

The wood is maple. How cool is it that you can sand it right on the lathe??? How easy is that!!

Good looking spindle. I’m sure you will enjoy it everytime you get a chance to use the lathe I do. Can’t wait to see the finished project.

Thanks all. I really enjoyed using the lathe. The table is put together at this point and I am doing the refinishing now. I will post a picture when it is done. Now I need to come up with another lathe project for sure.

Just updating my table instead of doing it as a new project. Hmmm maybe not the way to do it.
