Computer pullout

This was an existing cabinet with two drawers. This client wanted to add two drawers and a pullout for a laptop computer. The challenge was to design a pullout that would function properly where there was an existing counter top overhang. This was accomplished by using two platforms – one attached with BB full extension drawer slides with a wooden center mounted drawer slide on a second platform. I works smooth as silk.

Looks complicated, did you have a hard time with the fit?

No, the fit went pretty well. With drawer slides the tolerance is -0, +1/32 or so. It wasn’t too complicated but did take a little thought. I works very smoothly – the wooden drawer slides work well.

Cool idea. A great addon for entertainment centers also.
