Needed a place for my daughter’s books. I wanted something that she could take with her when she grows up.

Made from Walnut. 32” wide and high. Back is ship-lap. No plywood here!

Finish details:
1 lb cut of shellac seal coat
1-2 coats of stain to match all of the different shorts I had
2 coats of 1lb shellac

Introduced my daughter to it today and she seemed pleased (in her 7 month old way).

That’s all that matters to me :)

Nice work Mike…I’m jealous, stuck building plywood laundry cabinets for now…can’t wait to get into something like this using real wood, especially something for the family.

Thanks for your comments.

Ian, does that make us even seeing as I was jealous for your being able to go to WIA? :-P
