A recent commission of a platform bed. I made the frame from walnut, with some modern floating shelves, and a space-age looking reading light. I had the headboard upholstered by a friend with some sheepskin. If you are interested in how the whole thing went together
You can read about it on my blog or watch the video

Thanks for watching

I like it! I think the floating shelves on the headboard are a nice touch.

Interesting. Does the sheepskin serve some practical purpose or just an aesthetic choice?

Just an aesthetic choice. It is also probably more comfortable to lean your back against when reading with those sweet reading lights. Lol

Looks great, but I foresee a complaint about getting the sheepskin cleaned. LOL

Thanks, but it’ll clean up just like your couch. Besides, clients that can afford handmade furniture have cleaning ladies to take care of all that

Sheepskin on the headboard….. It’s already counting sheep for you, see those folks who can pay for custom furniture usually have people do things for them. Sheesh, I just never figured they wouldn’t want to count their own sheep.

Nice bed, thanks for posting.
