This jewelry box was made from 1/2” Oak and 1/4” walnut that I planed down from a larger board. I used 1/4” solid oak to build the drawer sides and ply for the bottom. I think the contrast in woods is my favorite feature and I hope my fiance loves this little “heirloom” as much as she claims to! Any feed back or advice is appreciated.

thanks Z! I have also built a three drawer tool chest using finger joints and also a combination of these two woods. I think this is an awesome way to bring out some class in a small project. I plan to use maple and walnut next for an even great contrast.
