I wanted to learn new techniques such as applying veneer and a french polish and thought this project was a way to learn them. As seen in the Wood Whisperer Guild I built the humidor following Mark’s guidance, however I guess I didn’t listen to the part about burning through the finish near/on edges. A valuable lesson… It turned out okay and is appreciated by my son. All in all, I learned new techniques in this process and will apply them on future projects.

The Brusso quadrant hinge template made installing the hinges a breeze
