It’s been quite awhile since I last posted anything. This is due to numerous back surgeries over the past two years. So I get into the shop when I can.

I want to publicly thank Bruce from “Splintergroup” for the plans and guidance for this project. Awesome LJ support!

My daughter and her friends graduated last year and I wanted to give this tight-nit group something to continue their friendship as they went off to college. I made five of these boxes for them to keep the keepsakes they shared since they all first meet in 5th grade. They all loved them!

Made with Mahogany and Ambrosia Maple.

Thanks again Bruce!

Looks great Brian!

I really like the maple grain running north/south, nice effect.

I imagine you hate chamfering edges by now 8^)

This is a very nice looking box and it will make a fine gift.

Love that A&C detail on the box, and darned if that Ambrosia isn’t just a mate for that Mahogany, or Oak as grain is similar enough, would just be a matter of color. Anyhow good choices.

Thanks for posting.
