I threw this step stool together from alder scraps left over from the bedside table project. Years ago I built my wife an alder pie safe with punched tin panels. The top panels were apple blossoms, the middle panels were apples and the bottom panels were an apple pie. In keeping with the apple theme I added an apple to the step stool. It was scrolled then a piece of wild mango was inlayed in to the back side. Once again I put Kreg screws to work for me.

That Apple just makes it special, nice job. You’ll have to report back occasionally to let the Kreg doubters know it’s still strong as ever.

Thanks for posting.

Love the apple cutout! Such a small feature to add but makes the project really stand out. I also like the curve in the supports. Everything looks ‘just right’. Nice job!
