cherry and maple end tables

i was planing some maple for another project and came across 1 board that was mineral stained that i really like. i saved it and built these 2 end tables to showcase it. i think it will stand out even more as the cherry ages. i didn’t have any 2” cherry at the time, so the legs are a cherry/maple lamination. however, i like that look and i think they help visually tie the piece together.

That board is indeed very good looking. I agree about the legs as well, you hardly notice since it ties in so well.

I really like the simple design to highlight the great grain in that maple. Thanks for sharing.

That spalted/stained/whatever maple looks wicked! I also agree about the laminated legs. Did you taper them so slighty that it isn’t really visible?
