This is nothing special, but my solution to putting wood up and saving floor space. I don’t have a shop, so I needed a place to store wood off the ground to make more space in the garage.
These 2×6 boards were left covering the pool when I bought this home. Good boards, so I saved them for future use. I doweled these boards together and to the rafters in the garage, through the sheetrock. No metal fastners.
Does it hold any weight? Yes. Most I have put up there is 300lbs.
If this give you an idea on use of space without any added costs, then great.
Have a good one everybody.

I did the exact same thing in my shop.
How did you attach yours to the ceiling?

I went through the ceiling, into the attic, and doweled into the rafters.
