I am a United Methodist minister, so when my church needed a sign, I did what I could. It was placed outside on some 8×8’s and some raised panel columns on each side, all painted a gloss black. I’ll try to post more when i get a chance. The back is 2 sheets of 4×8 plywood that I laminated and screwed together from behind, finished with 2 coats of Cabot semi-transparent stain in Federal Blue. The letters are poplar and were gold leafed. The cross and flame I just spray painted. Everything was given 3 coats of spar varnish to finish it. Thanks for looking.

Two sheets of 4×8! Wow, I bet that’s heavy. You did a great job though. The design is nicely laid out and looks well balanced. What font is that if you don’t mind me asking? Love to see a picture of it in situ if you’ve got one.

That is a very well done sign. You did a great job on it.

Great sign! You’ll have everyone in your Church thinking about your service to the church every time they see the sign.

It’s nice to find another WNCC pastor on LJ. I served near Badin at First Street UMC in Albemarle back in the 1980s. Great job on the sign.
