Pulled out a piece of crumbling willow wood from my cache and decided to carve an open heel dancing shoe. Left enough wood to carve a flower and everything was coming along fine until the wood started to split and twist on me.
Didn’t quit and came up with the sexiest dancing shoe a woman can wear! The crack on the toe was a split so I widened it and gave it a round edge intend of using putty to cover it up.
The Bootman!

Top work indeed

Wow! Roman, I guess we will have to start calling you ‘Roman, the lady slipper man’. This is an outstanding carving and shows a lot of fine craftsmanship. It’s a real eye catcher.
