George Nakashima inspired stool

This is a simple footstool for my wife. Inspired by the classic designs of George Nakashima. The body is made from pine 2×4. I cut the sides with a pattern I set up on the CNC Router. The legs are turned down 1x pine stock. The hardest part of the stool was the weaving.

Very interesting, like the weaving but really can’t comprehend the use of a CNC for the wood?

I had just gotten the CNC Router and the side pieces were a simple exercise in reproducibility
