American Holly is one of my favorite woods and works perfectly for steel blade replication. Also used Yellowheart for brass/gold. Handles are; Apple, Bloodwood, Koa, Walnut and Cherry.

Seriously, these are some great depictions of the cuttler’s art. Have you ever done any in real steel?

Interesting pieces Dave. Very fine craftsmanship… like all your other work. Holly is a favorite of mine also… wonderful to work with. You certainly did the wood justice. Thanks for posting these gems.
