Made from scrap wood to fit a glass sheet from flatbed scanner. Thin PVC sheet adhered to glass underside as diffuser. The walnut frame was made carefully so the glass would be a press-fit. Douglas fir and walnut. Bulbs are 4 w LED; they do not generate much heat.

Intended for drawing use, but makes a warm ambient light.
