At our December turners meeting, the monthly challenge is to turn a box. To get into the holliday spirit, this will be my entry. It’s a snowman, but it is also a double box. It was made out of scyamore with texas ebony and yellowheart for the accents. Not sure what to do with the hat, leave it natural or paint it black.

Ha! That’s awesome! A worthy entry to any challenge! Good luck!

Great snowman box!

I’d go with black for the hat, I think.

Maybe use ink to turn it black rather than paint….I do this with ash all the time….

brilliant.
Frosty has a black hat… but the natural is nice as well.

I like it. I’d vote for blackening the tophat.
