easy to keep clean

Finally finished re-laminating the kitchen countertops as requested by wife. Repeatedly!! Leftover laminate. Too small to do anything with: too large to throw away. You all know how that is. I’ll NEED it SOMEDAY.
Woke up bored one day. Hadn’t made a trip to Woodworker’s Source in a while. Saw pine and scraps. OK. Make box. Laminate all exterior including bottom. Small shop. Contact cement vapors. Remembered the ‘60’s.
Line interior with walnut. Told her it would be easy to keep clean but please DO NOT fix my lunch on it.
By the way, the laminate from the kitchen sink cut-out made a great new top for my homemade router table.

Thanks for your time.

Woke up bored one day? What the heck is that? My wife has too many things for me to do to give the a chance to get bored. Anyhoo, the box came out very nice…

“What the heck is that?” I can relate my brother. Too funny.

Nice box. Good use of left overs.

You got a smile out of me. Very nice.

We have to work on your photo skills, so that they match your woodworking skills, ‘cause you do some nice stuff.

I saw the thumbnail picture and was wondering “What kind of wood is that?” NOW I get it!! Nice use of laminate and a creative idea.
