Found some more of my Blackwood bit n pieces, the grain always appears to me like “widfire” it can have a mind of its own, some piece can be tempermental & you virtually give up the fight to get a reasonable finish.
all part of the fun

Thanks all, looking at it again I should have used the bowl saver & keep the middle,from memory it was about 350mm long x250ish wide,(turned it a couple of weeks ago & gave it to a friend & never did note the actual size
