My son was given this rather unremarkable live edge board by a friend, and he decided to make it into a light fixture for his dining room. He cleaned it up and we experimented with a little dye and some pigment stain and the color came out great. We then epoxied black rubber weatherproof bulb sockets into the holes and added Vintage Edison style bulbs. He then had an idea to add three puck style LED lights to the top. They can randomly change colors or you can choose your particular mood. 3/4” black pipe attaches the board to the ceiling.

That’s realy cool way to use it. I like those retro lamps too.
