I shaped this out of scrap hickory from a log that I milled. The prop is cherry and oak. The base is poplar and the upright is curly maple. I apolgize for the bad pictures. Not sure why it looks “dusty”. Finished in poly.

Matt, when i was a kid my favorite show in the world was “Black Sheep Squadron” reruns. I grew up wanting to be Pappy Boyington, and soar through the air in a mean looking WWII era corsair. This piece definitely takes me back …. Very cool!

dakremer- I’m sure you have the eye to do it. It just comes naturally when you start carving it.
Maveric777- I use to love watching that show when I was younger. (ten years ago:p) The corsair is one of my favorite planes of all times.
