As the golf season wares down, the turning season; for me at least starts :

This is a square bowl from a piece of walnut that was left over from a friends flat project. It was given to me to see what I could with it.

9 3/8” sq. 2 1/8” tall, fairly consistent wall thickness ..about 3/16”

Really pretty Brian, I’ve tried this several times, w/o success. Can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong, I know it’s not rocket science, but there is a trick to it too. Nice grain and finish.

Sorry I for got to mention..the finish is tung oil.
For those that find this subject of turning hard…just watch a friends video…he makes it look easy..and it is !
