Hello

After looking on this site many and many bandsaw boxes I’ve decided to make one this week end

It isn’t a very very very original design but I try to make one just for the fun and to appreciate the technic

Thanks for looking the pictures

Good start on what can be addicting. There sure are some fellow LJ’s on here that think way outside the box when making them. ( no pun intended ). Enjoy look Fwd to seeing more. Nice Job.

I never have made a band saw box but it still looks like you have a good start to what I think might be an interesting hobby.

Diggerjack, I like the natural outside to your box. Good way to get started. Like Ken said, they can become addictive…..........because the only limits are your imagination (and the size of your bandsaw). LOL. Have fun and hope to see more of them from you.

Good start Jack. Congrats. This is a pretty good looking box. I particularly like the off-centred growth rings on the facade as well as the contrasting grain direction of the pull. The color contrast from inside-out is also very attractive.

What kind of wood did you use? I believe this is found wood or maybe firewood? What kind of finish did you put on/in? Does the pull mortised in the drawer front? And since I never made such box, I wonder which size of blade you used (width and # of teeth)?

You inspired me to give it a try some day (favorited). Thanks for sharing your work.

Best,

Serge

Hello and thanks to all for the compliments

For my friend Bricofleur

The wood is Cypr├Ęs ( I don’t know the english name ) A wood to make “edge”
For the finish I use bomb laquer
All the pieces are glued
Here the link for my bandsaw box
