Serving tray

I have been wanting a tray to carry things back and forth to the BBQ, so I resawed some short pieces of maple scrap and came up with this.

The sides and ends are glued and pinned with 1/8” brass rod.

I doubled the thickness around the handles by gluing on some of the offcuts from the end pieces. It gives it a nice grip in your hand but doesn’t add too much bulk to the tray.

I love making serving trays. And they are a great project for teaching others how to wood work. Nice job.

Have your say...
