I built this on behalf of my wife. She wanted something for the guest room. Originally she wanted something white…I convinced her that cherry was better haha… The plywood is actually birch, not cherry, but it seems to blend fairly well. We shall see how much the cherry darkens over time.

Nice! I just built a very similar bookcase, but taller, and with solid cherry panels. Love the look of natural cherry.
