My neighbor asked me to build him a dog kennel, for 2 dogs. (There is a divider to keep them separate) I told him to buy the materials and sketch out the dimensions and you have a deal. Lol I do woodworking for fun, so I didn’t charge him. This thing is huge, 3ft by 7 ft. We had to assemble it in his garage, unfortunately I don’t have the extra square footage to build it in mine.

He wanted to put it in his living room and put his TV on it. The materials used are just the normal 2×4s at big box store, but everything was jointed and planed. Not only to keep everything square, but to also make it look presentable to put in your livingroom.

I’m not the biggest fan on the finish, He picked it out. I actually told him had to stain it. Which worked out because we don’t have the same schedules and could only work on the kennel 1 or 2 days out of the week. So he ended up staining on his free time.

Nice! I’ll say, that’s a mighty fine kennel to keep outside!

Looks great! I’m actually thinking of building myself something similar… what did you use for railings?

That turned out very nice. Great idea with a dual purpose. Excellent design.

I just did the easy route and used pocket screws. I’m also working on a bed frame for myself. So just knocked this out fast as possible. I will ask my neighbor to take some more pictures of the inside of you like
