This is a new concept I came up with for wall shelves. I am always striving to eliminate extra material while still providing the required structure. In this case, the corner section is 2 pieces with dados, joined at a a 90 degree angle. This provides sufficient support to keep the shelves from drooping forward. The single vertical component provides support near the free end and provides a place to attach to the wall. Made with mahogony and finished with tung oil.

interesting shelves. they’re not just “there” you actually want to look at them. i think that’s difficult to pull off with a shelf. congratulations!

-- Flemming. It's only a mistake if you can't fix it.
