This is my submission for the Rockler Plywood Challenge hosted and judged by the guys at the Modern Maker Podcast. The challenge is to design and build a piece of furniture using a single piece of plywood. Other material can be added but the single sheet of plywood should remain the main material. I decided to get 2 birds with 1 stone with this project. My submission is a Coffee Table for my mother for Mothers Day. The design is built with a 3/4” sheet maple plywood with reclaimed barn wood edge banding and inlays. The drawers open to both the front and the back for easy access.

Let me know what you guys think of the project or ask any questions you may have in the comments and visit the guys of The Modern Maker Podcast and let them know what you think.

Wow. Super job making plywood not look like plywood. I really like what you did with the barnwood edge banding. Gives it a great look.

Awesome-great design & execution. The barn wood and maple plywood provide a great contrast.

Thanks for posting.
