This piece is maple and mahogany, 6” high and 6” in diameter.

My first attempt at the ‘basket illusion’ technique.

Well, I’d say it was a success… You did a GREAT job on it…

Looks like it took as much labor carving the outer midsection s it did to turn it??

Very nice design… awesome carving / burning, whatever it is…

Gerry, this is an outstanding vessel and it displays a lot of nice craftsmanship. It’s a real eye catcher.

Awesome procedure… That indexing disk sure helped a lot didn’t it?

Thank you… that cleared a lot up… Quite a tedious project…
