Night Stand

Simple nightstand built out of QSWO. I’m not a huge fan of medullary rays, so I picked lumber with limited rays. This was my first project building from rough sawn lumber and no plans. My wife picked the design from a picture she found online. Not pinterest…

The finish is ammonia fumed + 3 coats of Waterlox.

Since I’m a newbie and my understanding of design is fairly limited, I’m a little concerned about wood movement along the solid-wood sides. I guess time will tell, but I did warn my wife that I might be building “firewood” with this project….

That’s a long way off being firewood. Lovely job.
May I kindly ask what QSWO is?
