hi fellow LJ you are probably feed up by now looking at these segment bowls but i just cant seam to stop making them the are very addictive and interesting to make time just seems to disappear when you get into making them one min nit it is day light the next thing the wife is asking you are you going to sleep in the workshop or are you going to play out there all night how time fly s by when you are having fun it s a good thing that the wife has the passions of a saint to put up with me .well this bowl took me about 25 hours to make that is not counting the time it took for the glue to dry if you count that it took a week or more well most of the timber is from a old door the bowl was planned to be 18 inches but i got my caclulachons a little wrong the finished bowl ended up 16 and 3/4 inches by 8 and 3/4 the are 275 peaces in this bowl the timber used is maghanoy Ebony bubinga green hart beach and ash and one piece of purple heart finished with 2 coats of sand and seal and 5 coats of finishing oil thanks for taking the time to look all comments welcome

I will never get tired of seeing your bowls. I just wish I had half of your bowl making skills. Keep them coming!
