I made this rolling pin to Compliment the Plaid cutting board. The roller is made of maple, walnut, cherry, and paduck. The handles are walnut with a poplar shaft. The shaft was turned down a 1/16” and finished with lacquer and a walnut recessed button on the end. The roller turns quite freely in the walnut handles. The handles are finished with polyurethane. The roller is finished with mineral oil.
